 Diamonds To Shine

I used to believe in society's lies,
Then I had to look beyond the alibis.
I had walked along with head low hung,
Forgetting the dreams I had when I was young.
Suddenly I saw this calamity of mine,
And it was clear God made me a diamond to shine.
As it always does-Truth became the confessor,
You can't learn to succeed from the broke professor.
God never gave me dreams I couldn't reach,
Yet in school that's what they like to teach.
Now that the truth has been revealed,
A diamond I'm becoming my fate is sealed.
The time has come I do believe,
For me to finally acheive.
The level of Gods anticipation for me,
Which is to become the best I can be.
And If I can only touch someones inner soul,
And reignite the candle that motivates their goal.
If I can open their eyes to the success at hand,
And love each one enough to make them understand.
The success would be theirs even more than mine,
For God made us all like diamonds to shine.
